QUEZON CITY, Jan 5 (PIA) - - The local government of Parañaque is urging its residents to apply early for the renewal of business and working permits and waives fees for penalties of applications filed January 2 to 20, 2012.

For new businesses, applicants are advised to present sanitary permit and locational, building, fire, and tourism (if applicable) clearances in addition to the basic requirements; while applicants for individual working permits should submit the following: 1) Police Clearance, 2) Residence Certificate (Cedula), 3) Two ID pictures, and 4) Health Certificate.

In a related development, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) opened a satellite office in the city to facilitate business name registration. Said agency delegated to the Parañaque city government the authority, function and responsibility of its management.

Parañaque Mayor Jun Bernabe stated, “As we urge establishments and employees to file their applications early to avoid the rush, we offer them the comfort and convenience in our fully airconditioned service lounges where taxpayers are treated with utmost courtesy and given a treat to a free snack, reading materials and their favorite cable TV programs. On top of that, our fully computerized and networked system speeds up and makes assessments and computations more accurate.”

We also take this opportunity to thank the business community and our citizens in advance for supporting our tax campaign anew,” he concluded. (RJB/LFB-PIA NCR)
