Tagalog News: PNP patuloy na naka alerto

QUEZON CITY, Enero 11 (PIA) –- Matapos ang halos isang araw na prusisyon ng Itim ng Nazareno nitong Lunes, Enero 9, patuloy pa ring naka alerto ang hanay ng Philippine National Police.

Sa isang panayam, sinabi ni PNP chief Nicanor A. Bartolome na todo-bantay pa rin ang puwersa ng kapulisan dahil na rin sa pangambang dala ng banta ng terorismo.

Bago pa ang prusisyon ng Itim na Nazareno, binalaan mismo ni Pangulong Benigno S. Aquino III ang publiko ukol sa banta ng terorismo sa bansa kung kaya’t inatasan niya ang PNP maging ang Hukbong Sandatahan na paigtingin ang pagbabantay.

Sa kanyang naging talumpati sa ginanap na Change of Command Ceremony ng Philippine Air Force kahapon sa Villamor Air Base, siniguro ni Pangulong Aquino na patuloy na naka antabay ang pamahalaan upang masiguro ang seguridad ng bansa at ng mamamayan.

“...Makakaasa kayong mananatiling nakaalerto ang gobyerno kada minuto upang bantayan ang kapakanan, karapatan, at kabuhayan ng bawat Pilipino,” wika ng Pangulo.

Pinasalamatan din ni Pangulong Aquino ang mga pulis at sundalo sa matagumpay na operasyon ng kapistahan ng Poon Nazareno.

Samantala, tututukan din ng mga pulis ang darating na kapistahan ng Santo Niño sa Tondo, Maynila sa darating na Linggo, Enero 15 maging ang pagdiriwang ng Chinese New Year sa Enero 23. (PNP/RJB/JEG-PIA NCR)
