Tagalog News: Mga pulis Maynila naka-antabay para sa pista ng Sto. Niño

MANILA, Enero 12 (PIA) –- Matapos ang matagumpay at mapayapang pag-prusisyon ng Itim na Nazareno noong Lunes, Enero 9 mula Quirino Grandstand sa Rizal Park patungo sa simbahan ng Quiapo, muli na namang naka-antabay ang puwersa ng Manila Police District para naman sa kapistahan ng Sto. Niño sa Linggo, Enero 15.

Ayon kay police chief Inspector Erwin Margarejo, tagapagsalita ng Manila Police District, magtatalaga sila ng karagdagang pulis upang paigtingin ang pagbabantay sa paligid ng Sto. Niño Church sa Tondo, Manila.

Sinabi rin ni Margarejo na ipagbabawal ang pag-inom sa kalsada mula sa bisperas hanggang sa araw ng kapistahan.

Aniya, ang pagbabawal ng pag-inom sa mga lansangan ay upang makaiwas na rin sa kaguluhan na malimit nangyayari sa inuman.

Siniguro rin kamakailan ng hepe ng Philippine National Police Nicanor A. Bartolome na todo-bantay pa rin ang puwersa ng kapulisan dahil na rin sa pangambang dala ng banta ng terorismo.

Samantala, handa na rin ang Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) para sa pista ng Sto. Niño.

Magtatalaga ang MMDA ng mga traffic enforcers at medical teams sa kapaligiran ng Tondo.

Ang kapistahan ng Sto. Niño ay ipinagdiriwang tuwing ikatlong Linggo ng buwan ng Enero upang ipagbunyi ang Banal na Anak na Hesus. (RJB/JEG-PIA-NCR)
