Tagalog news: MMDA muling sasabak sa pagtulong sa Cagayan De Oro at Iligan City

QUEZON CITY, Enero 17 (PIA) -- Mga 40 tao ang ipadadala muli ng Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) upang makatulong sa mga nasalanta ni ‘Sendong’ sa Cagayan de Oro at Iligan City.

Bukas ang alis ng mga ito kasama ang dalawang payloader at isang firetruck na tutulong sa pamimigay ng mga relief goods at sa paglilinis ng mga nasalantang lugar.

Pahayag ni MMDA Chairman Francis Tolentino, "Ang MMDA ay laging handang tumulong sa mga nangangailangan. Mayroon kaming mga tao at kagamitan kaya’t hindi kami magdadalawang isip upang ibigay ito.”

Ang 40-man contingent team ng MMDA ay nagmula sa Metro Parkways Clearing Group at Road Emergency Group na naatasang tumulong sa malawakang paglilinis ng mga kalsada at komunidad na matinding sinalanta ng bagyong Sendong.

Samantala, ang mga volunteers ng Chinese Fire Brigade ay sasama din sa misyon na ito at magdadala ng anim na firetruck upang makatulong din sa mga paglilinis.

Handa na rin ang ipamimigay ng grupo na mga relief goods na binubuo ng mga damit, bigas, de lata at iba pang food items na mula naman sa mga empleyado ng MMDA at concerned private citizens. (LFB/RJB/PIA-NCR)
