DSWD holds orientation on NHTSBACOLOD CITY, Jan. 14 (PIA) -- The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), together with the Department of City Social Services and Development (DSSD), conducted a reassessment orientation on National Household Targeting System at the Masskara Hall of the Bacolod Government Center.
The National Household Targeting System identifies who and where the poor households are in the Philippines.
The survey also generates and establishes socio-economic database of poor households.
The orientation was headed by Trinidad Lopez, NHTS Coordinator and Angelo Luis Baron and Kimberly Rivera of DSWD Regional Office.
“We need NHTS to ensure that the limited resources of the different social protection agencies reach the poor people in the community and improve the coordination among social agencies involved,” Lopez said.
Barangay captains or their representatives from the 61 barangays attended the orientation.*(JSC/EAD-PIA6/CMO Negros Occidental)
