Roxas City to revive police outposts

by Alex A. Lumaque

ROXAS CITY, Capiz, Jan. 18 (PIA)-- The Roxas City Police Station (RCPS) will revive the various police outposts particularly in the entrance and exit points of the city to strengthen its anti-criminality campaign.

This was disclosed by newly installed RCPS chief Supt. Salvador Dagoon during an interview over Budyong Kapehan cable television program here.

“Outposts will be established at barangays Tanza, Balijuagan, Bato, Adlawan and Lanot,” Dagoon said in Hiligaynon during the interview.

He added that policemen will also be visible to the communities to give access to residents to various barangay-based public safety services.

The visibility of policemen in the barangays is one of PNP Chief Nicanor Bartolome’s 10 doable objectives which is One Police Per Barangay Supervisor to take the police service to a higher level.

“We hope the community will cooperate with the cops in maintaining the order and peace in the area,” he added.

The Roxas City’s top cop also noted that additional policemen will also be coming to RCPS in the coming months to reinforce the more than a hundred RCPS manpower. (AAL/PIA 6 Capiz)
