Cebuano news: Palasyo: Walay bag-ong buhis nga ipatuman

TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol, Jan. 03 (PIA) -- Gitataw sa Malakanyang nga wala una’y bag-ong buhis nga ipatuman karon.

Matud pa ni Presidential Spokesperson Edwin Lacierda, naglaraw na lamang ang gobyerno nga amyendahan ang gipatuman karon nga tax measures sama sa sin taxes aron mosaka ang koleksyon sa buhis.

Dugang pa ni Lacierda, dili na gustong dugangan pa sa gobyerno ang kalisod nga gipas-an sa mga taxpayer ug giingong kinahanglan lamang nga masolusyunan ang mga buslot sa sistema sa pagpangolekta sa buhis.

Una nang niawhag ang World Bank sa gobyerno sa Pilipinas nga pasakaan ang bahin sa excise taxes sa tobacco ug alcohol nga naa sa 1.3 porsiyento sa gross domestic product (GDP) sa umaabot nga lima ka tuig.

Nagtuo ang WB nga ang maong lakang dili lamang makapasaka sa income share ngadto sa nasudnong panudlanan apan ang dugang revenues mahimong gamiton aron pag-abaga sa programa sa health services ug social protection sa nasud. (Elvira Bongosia/PIA-Bohol)
