Cebuano News: DILG Siquijor miduso alang sa pagmugna sa prov’l committee on anti-trafficking, VAWC

SIQUIJOR, Jan. 17 (PIA) -- Giduso sa Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) sa Siquijor ang paghimo ug Provincial Committee on Anti-Trafficking and Violence Against Women and their Children (PCAT-VAWC) sigon sa hiniusang Memorandum Circular sa DILG, Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) ug Department of Justice (DOJ).

Gi-isyu ang Memo Circular aron epektibong mapatuman ang Republic Act No. 9208 kon “Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2003” ug Republic Act No. 9262 usab gitawag ug “Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act of 2004.”

Ang kagamhanan sa probinsiya milatid ug Executive Order pagmugna sa PCAT-VAWC nga pagapanguluhan sa gobernador uban sa provincial social welfare and development officer isip co-chairperson.

Mga miyembro sa komitiba mao ang provincial planning and development coordinator, provincial health officer, Sangguniang Panlalawigan chairperson of the Committee on Women, Children and Family, public employment and services officer (PESO), provincial schools division superintendent, Civil Service Commission field officer/director, provincial prosecutor, provincial directors sa DILG, Philippine National Police (PNP) ug mga representate sa non-government organization gikan sa sector sa kababayen-an, kabataan, overseas Filipino workers ug Interfaith representative.

Sa maong tagik, ang PCAT-VAWC mahimo ug mga palisiya ug programa aron magproteher sa kababayen-an ug kabataan nga biktima sa trafficking ug panamastamas sama sa pagpanday ug mga ordinansa ug resolusyon.

Kini usab magmugna ug moestablisar ug sistema sa pagbantay, pag-imibistigar ug pagluwas aron pagsiguro sa maayong koordinasyon, ingon man paghimo ug information education ug advocacy campaign batok sa pagpalusot sa katawhan kon trafficking in persons ug VAWC.

Usab kini magmonitor og molantaw sa hugot nga pag-implementar sa RA 9208, RA 9262 ug uban pang balaod kalabot sa pagproteher sa kababayen-an ug mga kabataan ug sa Inter-agency Council for Anti-Traffiking (IACAT) Inter-Agency Council for VAWc (IACVAWC). (mbcn/ra/PIA-Siquijor)
