Alvarez ZAMBOANGA CITY, Jan. 26 (PIA ) -- The Literacy Coordinating Council (LCC) team from Manila visited Isabela City recently to conduct monitoring on the implementation of the LCC radio program dubbed “Literacy para sa kaunlaran,” an advocacy radio program in Basilan. Dr. Norma Salcedo , Head, Secretariat –LCC together with Dr. Milagros Ibe, consultant-LCC and two others from Philippine Information Agency (PIA) central office distributed questionnaires to selected radio listeners, guests, anchor and co-anchor of the said radio program to assess what needs to be improved or strengthened in the implementation of the LCC radio program in the area. P118-M worth of Infra projects implemented by Dipolog in 2011 |

This was contained in the 2011 Annual Accomplishment Report submitted by the City Engineering Office to Mayor Evelyn T. Uy earlier this week. (+) | DTI warns the public against text scams DIPOLOG CITY, JAN. 31(PIA)---The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) has warned the public against the text scams perpetrated by unscrupulous individuals victimizing innocent civilians through text messages not only in the province of Zamboanga del Norte but all the over the country as well. The DTI issued the warning amidst report that some individuals have received text messages informing their would-be victim that their mobile phone number has won in an electronic raffle, even going to the extent of using DTI as the authorizing agency. Alvarez ZAMBOANGA CITY, Jan. 30 (PIA) –- Philippine Red Cross (PRC)-Zamboanga City chapter is expecting some 200 supporters and volunteers to attend its 10th Chapter assembly set on March 2, in a local hotel here. PRC administrator Victor Liozo Jr. said they are on their “preparation” stage as the event will highlight the election of 12 Board of Directors (BoD) who will serve for four years. (+) |
