LGU Tacurong opens one-stop shop for business renewal

by Jessa Billano

KORONADAL CITY, Jan 17 (PIA) -- The local government of Tacurong city welcomed another year of public service by opening the Business One-Stop Shop from January 2-20 at the City Hall Building.

At the one-stop shop, several offices were gathered to make sure that processing of documents for acquisition or renewal of business permits are fast and hassle-free.

These offices include the City Engineering Office, City Planning and Development Coordinating Office, Environment and Natural Resources Office, Department of Trade and Industry, PhilHealth, Bureau of Fire Protection, Social Security System, Bureau of Internal Revenue, Philippine National Police, and License Inspection Services Office.

“Getting a business permit has become easier because everything I needed is in one place,” Hezel Ochada, 56, owner of a sari-sari store at the city’s public terminal, said. “And we are being guided what to do in every step.”

This early undertaking of the LGU is an assurance that its services to its constituents can be easily accessed all throughout the year, Mayor Lina Montilla said.

Mayor Montilla also urged business proprietors and operators to avail of the Business One Stop Shop opportunity because there will be no extension after January 20.

Meanwhile, City Treasurer Jessie Batchar said, business operators who will process their applications beyond the prescribed period will be charged with penalties. (DED0guiles/PIA 12/Tacurong LGU)
