Magsino of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) information service orients PDEA agents from regional offices as well as representatives of partner NGOs about the national drug situation in line with the recent celebration of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking (IDADAIT). PDEA opened June 27 at its main office at NIA Road, Quezon City, a three-day trainors training on preventive drug education in cooperation with the University of the Philippines College of Education and the ASEAN Training Center on Preventive Drug Education (ATCPDE). Other lecturers include Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) Acting Executive Director Edgar C. Galvante (Government Efforts to Address the Drug Problem); Atty. Angel R. Ojastro III of the Department of Interior and Local Government (Legal Basis, Structure and Functions of LGUs/NGOs); and Prof. Annabelle Matias-Sangalang of UP-OCG (Group Dynamics, Team Building and Decision Making).
