ATCPDE postpones ASEAN Seminar on Best Practices in Preventive Drug Education

Quezon City (3 December) -- ATCPDE Director Ma. Lourdes H. Pacaldo, PhD, of UP College of Education, has announced the postponement until further notice of the "ASEAN Conference on Models and Best Practices in Preventive Drug Education."

"The ASEAN Training Center for Preventive Drug Education (ATCPDE) is aware of the difficulty of member countries and other partner agencies to send participants to the ASEAN Conference on Best Practices in Preventive Drug Education scheduled on December 3-5, 2007. We therefore decided, with much regret, that this conference will be postponed indefinitely," Dr. Pacaldo said in a letter to prospective participants.

"With the desire of getting more participation from member countries and affiliate agencies and have a more in-depth interaction among countries and agencies, we plan to schedule a back-to-back conference with the approved ASEAN Conference on Community-Based Prevention of Drugs and Substance Abuse, as soon as we receive the approved funding from the ASEAN Secretariat," she said.
